Description
The palpable presence of the model, directing our gaze, focussing our minds and working in partnership with us, helps us to become better artists than we ever thought we could be.
All-comers welcome.
These classes are for all abilities and skill levels and commence on 02 June 2026 at Frome Cricket Club clubhouse on the Old Showfield site, where there is ample parking immediately outside the venue. Each 2h 15m session begins at 10:30 with a sequence of short poses with either a nude male or female model. After an hour, we take a break, then continue with longer poses until the class ends at 12:45. I provide some informal teaching and guidance, but the focus is on creating a quiet space where artists can concentrate on their work.
Class dates: 04, 11, 18, 25 June; 02, 9, 16, 23 July (8 x 2.25 hours) Participants bring their own drawing/painting media (sorry, no oils!) and paper, drawing boards and easels (if desired). A big roll of newsprint paper, chairs and small tables are provided and some easels are also available on a first come, first served basis.
