Not far from Davos, close to the border with Austria, Klosters occupies an enviable position at the head of the gorgeous Prattigau valley. Mountains and green pastures overlook the village from every side and a lively river runs through its heart. Prepare to be beguiled by the ever-changing play of light and shade upon the mountains; fall in love with the wooden chalets and barns; the river scenery and alpine flowers. Take the cable car to Gotschna or one of the many other peaks, for a grand panoramic view of the valley and discover for yourself why Switzerland was a magnet for Turner and other English watercolourists year after year. For non-painting partners, there are penty of hiking trails and cycle tracks; swimming in the outdoor pool, horse-riding and golf. Every amenity is just a short stroll from your accommodaton. Accommodation is at one of the first class hotels in Klosters or a self-catering apartment is available on request.
